FIREMANS FUND GRANT PRESENTATION – SARASOTA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT

On Thursday, May 23, at the Sarasota Opera House, 61 N. Pineapple Ave., Sarasota. the Sarasota County Fire Department was presented with a fire prevention grant of $20,000 for smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher training simulator. Firemen’s Fund Insurance Company and the National Trust Insurance Services (NTIS) were the sources of the grants.

The smoke detectors are provided to residents who cannot afford to purchase them. The smoke detectors use the latest dual-technology sensors providing reliable protection. The fire extinguisher simulator provides a way for people to learn how to use a fire extinguisher safely and with the best effect.

Sarasota Debutantes 2012

The debutante program is a long standing tradition, not only in the Sarasota and Manatee area, but around the world. This is the first year we were honored by being selected as the official photographer, and it is one of the most unique and exciting projects that we have done all year. We are so proud to represent these young women who are doing great things in the community. Each of the ladies were a delight and we look forward to seeing what they do in their futures.

This year’s Debs were Miss Delaney Marie Kapusta, Miss Katherine Elizabeth Merrill and Miss Sophia Elizabeth Dalabakis. We had the pleasure of photographing them in the studio, at a dance rehearsal with their escorts and fathers, to create family portraits before the ball and to capture all of the special moments at the 2012 Debutante Ball.
